Research on the Happiness of Artificial Intelligence Assisted Home-based Elderly Care in the Digital Transformation Era

Abstract: With the intensification of population aging and the continuous advancement of technology, home-based elderly care has become an important model to cope with an aging society. This paper focuses on the application of artificial intelligence technology in home-based elderly care, aiming to explore its impact on the quality of life of the elderly and strategies for improvement. Through a combination of literature review and empirical analysis, this paper first sorts out the current development status of artificial intelligence technology and its application in home-based elderly care. Subsequently, this paper constructs a home-based elderly care service system based on artificial intelligence technology and proposes a path for digital transformation implementation. This paper further analyzes how artificial intelligence technology can promote the convenience, safety, and social interaction of home-based elderly care life, thereby enhancing the life satisfaction and happiness of the elderly. Finally, this paper summarizes the research results and proposes prospects for future research directions. This paper not only provides theoretical support for the digital transformation of home-based elderly care but also provides references for related policy formulation and practical operations.

Finally, although technology itself has a positive effect on improving the happiness of the elderly, the quality of user experience and social interaction is still a key factor affecting the happiness of the elderly.

6.2 Research Deficiencies and Limitations

Although this study reveals the application effect of artificial intelligence in home-based elderly care to a certain extent, there are still some limitations. For example, the research sample's regional and cultural background is relatively limited, which may not fully represent the situation of all elderly groups. In addition, the study failed to fully consider the impact of individual differences on technology acceptance and usage effects, which may affect the universality of the research results.

6.3 Future Research Directions and Prospects

Future research can be deepened and expanded in the following aspects: First, expand the sample range, including the elderly under different cultural and economic backgrounds, to improve the representativeness and universality of the research. Second, deeply study how individual differences affect the acceptance and use of artificial intelligence technology by the elderly, as well as how these differences affect their happiness in life. Finally, explore the possibility of combining artificial intelligence technology with other elderly care service models, such as community-based elderly care and institutional elderly care, in order to find more comprehensive and effective elderly care service solutions.
